Colonel Khattak defeated by Usman Mobin amid major other upsets

Earlier today, Colonel Khattak, the number 1 ranked singles player was defeated by Usman Mobin 19-21. Colonel Sahab ran away after the defeat. Also, the Ghazali Zahid/Kahif Iqbal team lost in doubles to Usman Mobin/Faisal Ayub 4 games to 3. Ghazali Zahid, the number 1 ranked player of data warehouse directorate is also considered one of the best doubles players. Ali Rizvi ran home early because his wife called him and scolded him over the phone. Finally, Zulfiqar Ali was seen very quiet today.

Zulfiqar Ali/Ali Rizvi destroyed by Usman Mobin/Faisal Ayub

We heard very loud blabber coming from Zulfiqar Ali that the Zulfiqar Ali/Ali Rizvi doubles team was invincible in table tennis. Well, I suppose he has a short memory, so he challenged myself and Faisal Ayub. We destroyed them, and they had to run away after the match was over. Afterwards, I played singles with Faisal Ayub and won more games than I lost. Hmmm... I don't hear any loud blabber from Zulfiqar Ali right now! Well done Faisal!

The England vs Pakistan Match

Just came back from the England versus Pakistan Cricket match. Must admit that it was one of the most boring matches of all time. Imagine watching 100 complete overs and only 406 runs being scored. I am glad England won because [after all] they were our guests in Pakistan [or am I trying to resolve some cognitive disonnance here]. But I am disappointed at the always-below-expectations batting of Yousuf. I am also disappointed at the non-professional behaviour of Inzamam-ul-Haq and Shoaib Akhtar in their opting not to play the match. If they are so fragile that they cannot play five matches in a fortnight, they should consider a career in something else instead. Besides it is considered bad manners and arrogance if you choose to rest your good players against a particular team. Now Pakistan has dropped from the second slot to the third one in ICC's ODI cricket ratings.

Squash with Faisal Ayub

Went to play squash with Faisal Ayub at Islamabad club. Lost every game. Thought very hard to come up with an excuse for losing; finally realizing that my finger hurt. Banged myself in the wall because I was looking at the ball. Realized that Faisal is very big (in horizontal dimensions) and it was very common for him to obscure most of my vision :)

Table Tennis with Ali Rizvi

And Ali Rizvi was kind enough to win again in table tennis 3 games to 2. Besides, he was in a weird mood and I let him win so that he could feel better about his sorry self :) Recently, he has been winning 40% of his games against Col. Khalid Khattak which [surprisingly] makes him very proud. When Ali won his third game, it was fun to watch him jump like a monkey.

Now that it's one in the morning, shouldn't I be sleeping?
